Privacy Policy

WaxRank ranks Discogs collectors. To do that we read two things from your Discogs collection: your record count and your collection value. That's it. No wantlist, no purchase history, no personal data.

• Your Discogs username, shown publicly on the leaderboard.
• The number of releases in your collection.
• The median market value of your collection, in USD.
• The country you choose when connecting, used for your local leaderboard.
• Optional links you add to your profile (e.g. Instagram, SoundCloud).

We never access your Discogs wantlist, orders, purchase history, messages, or payment information. We do not track you across other sites, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

When you connect, you authorize WaxRank through Discogs' official OAuth flow with read-only access. We never see or store your Discogs password. You can revoke WaxRank's access at any time from your Discogs application settings.

Your record count and collection value are used solely to compute and display your rank on the worldwide and country leaderboards. Your username and any profile links you add are shown publicly so other collectors can find you.

We use a single encrypted session cookie to keep you signed in and to remember your last-used account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your data is kept for as long as your account is listed. You can permanently delete your account, collection stats, and all associated data at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
